A linear systems model of the hydrothermal isometric tension test for assessing collagenous tissue quality

Journal: Journal of Mech Behavior of Biomedical Materials
Authors: Thomas Willett - Faezeh Iranmanesh - Iranmanesh, F., Willett, T.L.

A linear systems model of hydrothermal isometric tension (HIT) testing is proposed.
It combines denaturation kinetics with a new model of isometric tension generation.
It models tension development due to melting and thermo-elasticity.
A simple means of evaluating the two contribution using two parameters is provided.
