CBS-SWOSC Research Symposium

2020-12-14 19:08:02 by Joseph Deering

On behalf of the Canadian Biomaterials Society - Southwestern Ontario Student Chapter, we're excited to announce the first official (rescheduled) CBS-SWOSC Research Symposium! We're reaching out to you to potentially submit an abstract for either an oral presentation, virtual poster, or 3 Minute Thesis-style presentation.

The fully online symposium will take place on February 19th, 2021 using HopIn. Our goal for this symposium is to not only give you an opportunity to present your biomaterials research to others in Southwestern Ontario, but to reduce the "virtual gap" created by many online conferences. Creating small break-out rooms using HopIn is just one way we hope to facilitate meaningful conversation with other like-minded researchers, giving you the full conference experience that we've all been missing this year.

Abstract templates and more event information are available at https://cbsswosc.wordpress.com/events/. Please note that 3 Minute Thesis presentations are currently reserved for undergraduate students, while full length presentations (available to everyone) should aim to be 10 minutes long. Further, presentations can either be submitted by video the day before the conference or presented live at the conference at the discretion of the presenter. In either case, a 3 minute question period will be allotted on the day of the conference. Abstract templates should be submitted to this link by January 15th, 2021 at 11:59pm.   Hope to see you there!
