Professional Development Webinar with the Cheeky Scientist Association

CBS-KSC is very excited to announce that we have organized a professional development webinar, targeted at biomedical students, with the Cheeky Scientist Association (for more information about CSA, please visit: https://cheekyscientist.com/about-us/). The webinar will be on April 5th from 2:30-4:30pm EST and will cover the following topics:
- “Of Science and Strategy,” will cover the transition process into industry, some psychological struggles that may occur, and will list methods that will help attendees obtain the most rewarding role based on their lifestyle. The psychological struggles being addressed in this section are also ones that students deal with throughout their university studies, as well as when they are applying to any jobs, whether it be in academia or industry.
- “The Modern Job Search,” will teach attendees how to optimize their LinkedIn profile to appeal to prospective employers.
- “Networking: An Art and Science,” will cover the importance of making connections and will provide specific steps that attendees can use to network effectively. These last two topics focus on developing skill sets that apply to students of all levels that will help them throughout their entire careers.
We encourage all student chapters to sign up and virtually join us for this event! It's recommended to watch the webinar with a group, since there will be many interactive portions in the workshop.
