A special CBS2025 opportunity for ECR faculty members!

Calling all ECR Faculty Members for Keynote Presentation Opportunities!

Dear CBS Members,

A feature of CBS2025 will be presentations from current Early Career Researcher (ECR) faculty member highlighting their expertise and new research. Are you an ECR faculty member who is interested in presenting? Please use the following link (https://smitheng.ca/CHEE-CBS2025) to submit details of your proposed presentation. We will endeavour to give everyone an opportunity to present. If there are more submissions than allotted presentation slots, we will decide ECR speakers by random selection based on topic, while maintaining representation of members from underrepresented groups in Canada (racialized individuals, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, women, 2SLGBTQIA ).

Requirements for the submission include:

1. Information on your current position and starting date.
2. An abstract (1000 character max) that describes your expertise and planned presentation.
3. An optional short justification (200 characters) outlining your status as an ECR if you have had any career disruptions. ECR is as defined by the Canadian tri-council; 5 years since first academic appointment considering eligible leaves and career disruptions. (https://cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/34190.html)

Deadline for applications is February 18^th, 2025.
