Injectable Dual Macroporous Hydrogel Platforms for Advanced Cell Therapies
Supervisor: Sophie Lerouge
My research focuses on the development of injectable, macroporous hydrogels designed for advanced cell therapies, particularly for cancer immunotherapy. Specifically, I am working on dual macroporous scaffolds using gelatin-based and air-based porogens embedded in chitosan hydrogel, which can support the expansion and delivery of T lymphocytes directly at the tumor site. This approach addresses key challenges in cell therapy, such as poor tumor homing and functional exhaustion of systemically delivered T-cells.
Keywords: Chitosan hydrogel, porogens, dual macroporosity, cell immunotherapy
Techniques: Porogen leaching and gas foaming
