Cellular Therapy Bioprocess Engineering
Our lab applies process engineering principles to manufacture cellular therapies, with particular interest for applications in the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Part of the lab works on immobilized cell cultures (hollow fiber, microencapsulation, microcarriers) to enable scale-up.
Keywords: bioreactor, biomanufacturing, cellular therapy, stem cells
Equipment: bioreactors, flow cytometry, 3D bioprinting, confocal microscopy, clean room (MATREC)
Techniques: stem cell culture, hydrogels, emulsification, bioprocessing, statistical design of experiments
